The bone scan came back clean. The only thing that showed up was my root canal from a couple of weeks ago. My oncologist believes that I probably have arthritis in my hip. I read up on it a little and learned that losing weight can help hip arthritis. So, losing weight sounds like a great plan to me. That and finally having a great night's sleep tonight! Thanks everyone for your prayers - they must have worked. :)

Congratulations on the good news. I know this is a relief to you. I know because I have been having hip pain as well. I'm not sure which is worse - the pain or my obsessed brain that won't leave it alone when I try to go to sleep!
Because my pain is intermittent, the doctor has recommended we take a wait and see approach unless the pain becomes constant or worse.
I had taxotere, like you, and I also had the heavy bone pain, like you - especially in my hips. I wonder if the drugs helped to bring on some arthritis in our joints? Yeah - I think I'll go with that. A little arthritis is far better than bone mets, eh?
Hope you had a good night's sleep. I'm sure you were more than ready for that relief!
Carry on!
