Melissa was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2004. I clearly remember her bald performance on the 2005 Grammy Awards show. I thought - wow, I could never do that. Well, it was only a few years later that I made the choice to be out in public bald. I'm glad it wasn't in front of millions.
