I found myself with a week of vacation in December and no one to take it with so I decided a trip to Hawaii sounded like an excellent idea. I'd been to Hawaii twice before - once to Oahu and one to Maui - so this time the Big Island was my destination. I had a wonderful time and saw some amazing things. I went to the top of Mauna Kea for sunset, saw lava on a two hour helicopter ride, went swimming at the most perfect beach I've ever been to, and hiked towards a rainbow on the way to pertoglyphs.
